I wanted my rocking horse to look like a real wooden one. I havee compressed the screen shots as much as possible, and that has taken away some of the wood effect. You can decorate your horse or other image any way you like, but this is how I did mine.

First, in Paint Shop Pro 7, go to "Effects", "Textured Effects", Texture".

Set your numbers to match the image on the left.

Where the "Presets" choice is, click on it and choose "Wood grain". That will change whatever is in the "Texture" choice box, to what we want.

Where the color choice is, choose #808000. You can do this by right-clicking on the color square. When the new window pops up, write #808000 in the HTML Code box.

Click "OK".
